FAQ

  1. Do you think that you are right and that everyone who disagrees with you is wrong?
  2. Yes.

  3. Do you think that so few can be right and so many be wrong?
  4. Yes. The number of people believing a single idea does not make it true or false.

  5. Do you think that you are better than everyone else?

No. We believe that we are better than those who disagree with us, and that everyone exists in God’s image and is worthy of his grace. Furthermore, we judge ourselves by Jesus Christ, not “everyone else”.

  6. Do you think that everyone should agree with you?

Yes. Everyone should agree with God, The Truth, as we do.

  7. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God who has come in the flesh?

    Yes.

  8. Do you believe that you have a “free will”?

No. We believe that Jesus is Lord.

  9. Do you agree with the doctrine of The Trinity?

No. We believe that the doctrine of the trinity is a destructive heresy secretly introduced into the gospel by satan through his servants who masquerade as ministers of Jesus Christ. The doctrine of the trinity effectively denies that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and excludes all but three from the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

  10. Do you believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired, inerrant word of God?

Regardless of what is true of the scriptures, we think the more important issue is whether we can know and accurately interpret God’s thoughts. We have found that most often those who concern themselves with the nature of the scriptures ignore this equally, if not more important issue. What use are the scriptures if they can’t be accurately interpreted?

We believe that like everything else, the scriptures belong to God and that he uses them according to his will. We also believe that God uses the scriptures to reveal himself to whom he chooses, and that no one can accurately interpret the scriptures apart from God’s will and work. We do not believe that the scriptures are God, and therefore, worship and trust God and not the Bible.

  11. Do you agree with the “Roman Road Gospel” of Christianity?

No. One will find neither the prophets, nor Jesus Christ, nor any of the Apostles preaching the gospel which most who call themselves Christians believe. The “Roman Road Gospel” of Christianity fails to comprehend the truth about the person and work of God as revealed in Jesus Christ, as well as the true nature of man, sin and salvation from it, and all of the sound doctrine that accompanies the true gospel.

  12. How many are there of those who agree with you?

We have no idea of the number in bodies who agree with us, but we are surrounded by what the writer of Hebrews refers to as a great cloud of witnesses, and our God is the God of the living, not the dead.

  13. Are you a Christian?

    Yes.

  14. Are you an American?

Only if “American” names those who live in America. Otherwise, “American” has so broad a meaning that it means nothing. Define the term and then we will answer the question.

  15. Do you believe that “Jesus is Lord”?

    Yes.

  16. Do you believe that yours is the only accurate interpretation of the scriptures?

    Yes.

  17. Do you agree that the members of the body of Christ are different from one another?

Yes. All who agree with God and are like him believe that the members of the body of Christ are different from one another.

  18. Are you some of those “oneness” people?

Yes and no. We believe in agreement with God (which is peace or oneness). However, we do not agree with all who claim to agree with God.

  19. Do you believe that the bible teaches that divorce is acceptable to God?

Yes and no. Divorce is necessary due to the hardness of man’s heart toward his own kind. Given this fact and the fact that God is for peace, he permits and even requires divorce. E.g., he requires divorce in the case in which one spouse wants to follow him while the other doesn’t.

  20. Do you believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone?

    Yes.

  21. Do you believe that you are God?

No. Those who agree with God must be like him but cannot believe that they are God unless God believes it.

  22. Do you not see that those who believe in being like God are guilty of the sin which Satan led Adam to believe in the Garden of Eden?

No. Subsequent to agreeing with Satan God declared that Adam had become like him, knowing good and evil. God created Adam in his image, and continued his work of creation by employing Satan to give him the knowledge of good and evil. The lie of Satan which Adam believed was that God had lied, which offended God and resulted in their separation.

  23. Must you take your disagreements personally?

Yes, just as God and everyone else does.

  24. What is your definition of “Christian”?

A Christian is one of that group who on account of the will and work of God knows and agrees with him like Jesus Christ.

  25. Must you seperate from those who disagree with you?

Yes. To distinguish between different things is to separate them. We distinguish between God and Satan, light and darkness, truth and lies, good and evil, God’s kingdom and Satan’s, God’s children and Satan’s, ourselves and others. Furthermore, we must neither be distracted by nor antagonize those who disagree with us.

  26. Do you agree with the traditional definition of “family”?

No, not if by “traditional” you mean a group of people related by blood or marriage. Given the spiritual nature of man, families must be defined by beliefs (in this context a family is a group of persons who believe something), and must be distinguished from one another by their doctrine. Therefore, those who believe and agree that a family is defined by blood and marriage are a family by virtue of what they believe.

  27. Do you believe that you are right to judge others?

Yes. Judging ourselves and others is unavoidable. Our Lord commands us to make accurate judgments. The issue in judging is the standard we use. We judge ourselves and others by the same standard, which is the man Christ Jesus.

  28. Do you believe that you can know what is in another’s heart?

Yes. We can know what is in another’s heart if the person tells us and speaks truthfully, if it is obvious in their behavior, or if God reveals it to us. Furthermore, we will pay no attention to those who seek our agreement (i.e., who speak to us) while beliving that no one can know what is in another’s heart. Those who believe that no one can know what is in their hearts should not use words in an attempt to reveal what they are thinking.

  29. Do you believe in the separation of church and state?

No. The only way to separate church and state is for one to separate from one’s self. One cannot be separated from one’s self. Furthermore, God is a ruler; “Jesus is Lord” is a declaration of a “political” nature; we are governed creatures; salvation is a matter of being ruled by a lord who has overcome and taken his subjects from his opponent who is also a lord. No, politics and religion cannot be separated.

  30. Why do you disagree with “agreement in the essentials, tolerance in the non-essentials, and love in all things”?

There are no essentials and non-essentials. Those who believe that there are essentials and non-essentials cannot agree on what they are. Disagreeing is not the way to peace (agreement). God is not tolerant of disagreement.

  31. How can you not be troubled by the fact that your beliefs have caused and are causing others, and particularly your family, such grief and heartache?

We are grieved that others are grieved by our beliefs. However, we know that our beliefs are not the sole cause of the trouble, and that those who disagree with us should find comfort in their faith since they choose it over us. The fact that others are adversely affected by our beliefs does not make us wrong. Jesus Christ did not repent of his beliefs though he caused others enough trouble to get himself executed. He believed, as do we, that one is harmed only by one’s own beliefs, not the beliefs of others.

  32. How do you hope to win others to your point of view by disagreeing with and separating from them?

We are not primarily concerned with converting others to our point of view. We are primarily concerned with agreeing with God ourselves. However, we do seek to persuade those who seek to be persuaded. It is not possible to persuade an opponent to your point of view without disagreeing with him. And we do not separate ourselves from those who disagree with us as much as we simply acknowledge that disagreements separate. (Can two walk together unless they agree?)
